My LADY's second attempt at doggie couture was much more successful. I expect Marshals to begin selling knockoffs by the spring.

A new winter storm is blowing in. My orange coat fastens over the belly. My belly hangs so low that I was scooping up snow with my coat. My LADY made me a new coat this morning that fastens on my back and should keep me from being the world's smallest snow plow. We took a test run, and my belly stayed dry, but the scarf needs a trim. My outfit needs some work, but her first attempt was pretty good.
Doggie Halloween costumes were really expensive, so by making our own last month we saved $50. This was enough money in our paws to buy these cozy coats from Petco. We couldn't find any collars or leashes to match, so our lady made some for us. Grosgrain ribbon is very strong, especially if you double it. Two leashes and two collars were made for the cost of one collar from the specialty shops. Greyhound lovers, hold your concerns regarding Sofie's non-Martingale collar. She is only taking super slow walks on the leash to the mailbox these days.
Posted by THE LADY: We attended the HART walk and homecoming. Maggie was rescued by the Homeless Animal Rescue Team and we reconnected with her rescue group. Maggie was able to say hello to her foster mom, who took care of her for four months and helped her take off over ten pounds of extra weight. Our family was a team in the HART walk and we donated money to help other dogs in need. Maggie and Sophie entered the costume contest, and hung out with dozens of dogs who were offered a second chance through HART.
